WHO WE ARE
Elevate Voices is the social enterprise arm of Elevate Editing — a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to making the publishing world fairer, more accessible, and more representative.
We believe every story deserves to be told — not just the ones that already have a seat at the table. That’s why we provide affordable editorial support, mentoring, and creative workshops for under-represented and emerging writers across the UK.
Our mission is simple: to remove barriers to entry in publishing and empower writers from all backgrounds to tell their stories with confidence and craft.
WHAT WE DO
Accessible Editing Support
We offer discounted or fully funded editorial services — from developmental edits to final proofreads — for writers who might otherwise struggle to afford professional editing.
Community Workshops & Mentoring
Our creative writing and editing workshops help authors develop their skills, find their voice, and connect with others in supportive, inclusive spaces.
Collaborations & Partnerships
We partner with publishers, authors, organisations, and local writing networks to deliver accessible opportunities and share resources that open doors for new talent.

Our Aims

Accessible Editing
for All
We believe quality editing shouldn't be a privilege. Our goal is to offer free or heavily discounted editorial support and mentoring to writers who face financial or systemic barriers, helping every voice reach its full potential.

Inclusive Workshops
We're taking the publishing conversation beyond London and into local communities. Our workshops in libraries, schools, and community hubs give writers hands-on guidance and confidence to refine their craft in supportive, inclusive spaces.

Editorial Bursaries & Scholarships
We're creating bursary schemes that fund professional editing and mentoring for under-represented authors. These scholarships will help new and emerging voices bring their stories to life with professional polish and support.

Collaborative Partnerships
By working with publishers, educators, and social-impact organisations, we'll co-design opportunities that break down entry barriers and promote equity within publishing — because collaboration builds lasting change.

Our long-term aim is to develop a network of editors, mentors, and creative professionals who reflect the diversity of the writers we serve — fostering connection, representation, and a stronger creative community.
